Why Karate is not developed in India?

It must be around 50 years that Karate had entered into India. Millions of Indian people learned Karate in Japanese language. But still there is not even a single talented Karate individual is created.

Why?

The reason is Indian people learned Karate without knowing or understanding Japanese language.

Japanese people learned our (Indian) Martial Arts in the name of Karate and Chinese people learned our Martial Arts in the name of Kung-Fu, Tai-Chi and Wu-Shu  and they both developed as a stronger nation in the world.

The Korean people learned our Martial Arts in the name of Tae Kwon Do and American people learned all these Martial Arts in their own language.

But we(Indian), with the greed over the foreign culture and language, had not yet learned Karate knowing its purpose like Why to do ? How to do? For what knowledge we have to do? . And we are wasting our time.

For 50 years, we learnt Karate and other martial arts without understanding the language that’s the only reason we have not achieved anything greater in Karate or other Martial Arts.

Therefore, what I want to say is , we have to learn Karate in our own Mother tongue and then only we can achieve in Martial Arts better than the Japanese, Chinese, Korean and American. If an Indian learns Karate in Japanese language and culture, he may be grateful and devoted only for Japan and not useful for India. This will be an obstacle for India’s growth in future.

Moreover, Japanese, Chinese and Korean ancestors who learnt Martial arts i.e Kuthuvarisai , Silambam from us in the beginning, has not established a school or Martial arts association in the name of India or Indian Martial arts. But instead, they established schools and Martial arts association in their own name and language.

It is impossible to establish an Indian Martial Arts school or association in other countries. But in India, there are many Chinese and Japanese martial arts school established and these schools are creating a state of devotion over their Nation. This state will be a disadvantage for India.

Therefore, we have to dissolve all the Japanese and Chinese Martial arts schools in India and start establishing new Indian Martial arts school in our country and teach martial arts to our people on our mother tongue. Then only we can develop in Martial arts and in other fields greater than the Chinese, Japanese and other super powers.

I assure that we cannot develop greater if we still allow the Japanese and Chinese schools to teach Martial Arts in their language and culture.
